About Remi
I am a dedicated Guitar tutor with 5 years of experience and a track record of teaching around 300 students from different age groups, including High School learners, College students, and adults. I enjoy helping students grow through music and guiding them as they build strong guitar techniques at a pace that suits them best.
My teaching philosophy combines clarity, patience, and personalized guidance. I believe learning guitar should feel natural and enjoyable, so I teach essential concepts step by step. Students learn chords, strumming patterns, fingerstyle basics, rhythm exercises, melody sections, and simple theory that helps them understand how songs are formed. I always aim to keep explanations simple so students feel confident and in control of their progress.
One of my major achievements is helping beginners who once struggled with coordination eventually play full songs smoothly. My teaching approach for Guitar is based on communication, flexibility in teaching styles, and practical examples that help students understand music in a simple and enjoyable way. I believe that learning guitar should feel fun and stress-free, so I design lessons that support each student’s pace and interests.
I teach essential guitar techniques such as posture, chords, strumming patterns, rhythm, and basic melodies. As students progress, we move toward scales, fingerstyle, improvisation, tone shaping, and genre-specific playing. I use real-life examples from well-known songs and performances to show how each technique is used in real music. I also include small case studies about how musicians improve their skills.
I also teach related subjects like Ear Training, Music Theory, Chord Progression Creation, Songwriting Basics, Rhythm Studies, and Tablature Reading. These subjects help students understand how music works and become more confident performers.
Communication is very important in my teaching. I encourage students to share their goals, interests, and challenges. I then adapt my methods to match their learning style—whether they learn visually, through listening, or through practice-based repetition.
Every class includes guided exercises, simple weekly goals, and helpful feedback. My aim is to support each student’s musical journey with patience, creativity, and clear guidance.
