About Larry
I am Larry, a licensed CPA with over 15 years of client service experience at a Big Four accounting firm. I hold an MBA and a B.S. in Accounting.
My professional experience has involved significant problem-solving and on-the-job coaching, requiring me to translate complex accounting and audit regulations into clear and digestible concepts for both clients and junior staff, ranging in age from their early 20s to late 40s. This has given me extensive experience in effectively teaching complex accounting and audit matters for over 15 years.
In addition, since early 2024, I have been tutoring two college-age family members in their college courses, including Accounting Principles, Intermediate Accounting, and Auditing, through in-person or online sessions.
I am passionate about teaching and mentoring and am eager to give back to the profession by helping students excel in their accounting studies, whether they are accounting majors or non-accounting students. It brings me immense fulfillment to see my students truly understand Accounting and succeed in their future careers, whether in accounting, auditing, or other fields.

For my teaching approach, I begin by requesting and reviewing the materials my students are working on before our session. During the session, I introduce or reinforce the chapter's concepts and guide students through practice problems or comprehensive exercises. To further enhance learning, we explore related financial statement disclosures from publicly listed companies to connect theory to real-world application. At the end of each session, we identify areas that need additional focus, which the students can study and practice independently. These areas are revisited in our subsequent sessions. I tailor my teaching approach to accommodate different learning styles. My goal to equip students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
