About Maelle
I'm Maëlle, French, based in London. I've spent over 7 years in some of the most demanding and selective professional environments there are — investment banking, private equity, and investor relations for listed companies (Bank of America, StepStone, Octopus Energy, Amber Infrastructure).
I didn't stay at one company by chance — I made a deliberate choice to move regularly in order to grow faster, take on new responsibilities, and diversify my expertise. That choice put me through job searches and hiring processes far more often than average — CVs, applications, interviews, negotiations. So I don't just know this subject in theory; I've practised, refined, and repeated it successfully at every stage of my own career.
I also trained directly under Victor Cheng's programme, ex-McKinsey, on the methodologies used in the most selective hiring processes.
What drives me to share this today is simple: the methods that work in the most selective environments aren't reserved for an elite few. I wish I'd had easier access to these keys myself, early on — they would have saved me a lot of doubt and detours. That's exactly what I want to pass on now: giving you directly the tools it took me years to piece together myself.
I don't believe in vague advice like "just be confident." I prefer to give you a concrete method you can reuse well beyond our session together.

This gave me a genuine structured method — not just intuition — for how a recruiter actually reads a document in seconds, what sentence structures demonstrate real impact rather than listed tasks, and how to prioritise information so it works for you rather than burying your best points.
I also understand the more recent shifts in recruitment: most CVs are now filtered through ATS software before a human even sees them, and increasingly pre-screened by AI tools. I build your documents to pass both filters without losing quality or impact.
