Hi, my name is John. I am a computer science student at Cornell University with five years of programming experience. Hi, my name is John, and I am a Cornell computer science student with five years of programming experience. My teaching approach is patient, hands-on, and personalized to each student’s experience level and goals. I start by explaining programming concepts in simple terms, then guide students through examples and practice problems so they can apply what they learned on their own. A typical lesson includes reviewing previous material, introducing a new concept, completing a coding exercise together, and giving the student a chance to solve a problem independently with my support. What sets me apart is that I focus on helping students understand why their code works instead of only showing them what to type. My lessons are designed for beginners, middle school and high school students, college students taking introductory programming courses, or anyone interested in learning how to code.
