About Dorsa

Hi there! My name is Dorsa and I am currently studying Health Sciences at University.
Although a field of sciences is different than those of the arts or literature, I have spent my time in high school working with children ages 6-10 and junior youth ages 11-14 in all of these aspects!
The Arts:
I am a level 9 RCM Violinist and have majored in music performance and theory throughout high school. I have experience with the international Suzuki Music School and am ready to accompany young musicians in their passions!
Literature:
I am an experienced English tutor specializing in ESL learners. I partner with students to develop confidence to approach test preparation, reading comprehension, writing development, and communication skills, ensuring students build confidence and independence with personalized study plans with homework and activities focused on real-world applications
Sciences:
Both physical and social sciences have been in my skill set since high school and with a degree in process in Health Sciences with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences, I am ready to provide the resources needed to develop life-long study skills early on for those yearning for competitive fields. I also offer the service of lesson preparations, making enhanced notes and study guides alongside working on application problems.

About the lesson

In my violin lessons, I focus on building a strong technical foundation while cultivating a deep love for music!
Each session begins with reflect on the week of practice and warm-ups to start off on the right foot - to prevent bad habits from forming.
I place a strong emphasis on developing a strong ear and consistency with pieces that are chosen for their level.
Whether just starting out or developing your skillset further, I make sure to balance the technical aspects with the joy of playing.
Parents and guardians are essential to a young musician's progress and success - so I'm ready to work with you for the long run to see long-term capacity as transparently as possible!
