About Roy

I grew up in a musical family, and my music education was extensive. I studied piano with Wiktor Labunski (Rubinstein's brother-in-law) and composition with Joseph Castaldo. My career extended from opera company pianist to rock and jazz, and eventually to writing for the musical theater.

About the lesson

While the broad education I have in music theory is always helpful, it's not always necessary. I will focus on the special areas you need to reach your goals. Whether you are just learning to read music, a more-advanced student, or a professional in need of some clarity, I will tailor my tutoring to you.
