About Varinia
I am a concert violist and a graduate of the Juilliard School and the Royal Academy of Music in London with performance experience around the world as a chamber musician and solo recitalist. I have been teaching for over 12 years. I have served as a Chamber Music Mentor at the Juilliard School Pre-College, as a viola and Chamber Music Teaching assistant at theUniversity of Iowa teaching undergraduate viola students and I currently hold a viola studio of all levels. As a performer, I have received international recognition as a chamber musician and recitalist, and most recently was awarded (with my chamber group Platform Music) the Royal Philharmonic Society's Enterprise Fund. In 2019 I was named an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM).

I have a tailored approach for each student, as everyone learns differently. I help my students develop their technical skills with several methods and studies and I can be flexible with the choice of repertoire. My main priority is to keep my students motivated so they can learn the tools to help themselves in the future!
