About Adam
I'm a Computer Science graduate of the University of Oxford, and I have been tutoring for over 9 years. Almost 400 American students have prepared for AP Computer Science A with me. Over 91% of them scored a 5. I also coach competitive programming: 120+ American students for USACO and 70+ Canadian students for the Canadian Computing Competition, 6 of whom won full scholarships to the University of Waterloo. 54 of my American students have been admitted to Ivy League universities.

The course has one goal: a 5 on the exam.
Stage 1, the curriculum: We cover every chapter, so there are no gaps when exam practice begins.
Stage 2, unit tests: Each unit ends with a test written in the style of the real exam, which shows exactly what needs more work.
Stage 3, past exams: We work through the past exams from 2012 onwards, multiple-choice and free-response, until the format holds no surprises.
About half the course is fundamentals and half is exam practice. No programming background is needed. At one lesson a week, the course takes about a year. At two a week, about six months. The exam is in May, so students who start later in the school year take more lessons per week to finish in time. Message me with your grade and your exam date, and I'll tell you which pace fits.

I’ve known Adam for about 8 years, and over that time I’ve had the chance to see not only what an amazing friend he is, but also how naturally he teaches and supports others. We’ve volunteered together, and I was always impressed by how patient, organized, and encouraging he was, especially when working with children. He has a way of making people feel comfortable and confident while learning.
One of the things I appreciate most about Adam is his teaching style. He’s incredibly patient, explains things clearly, and never makes anyone feel judged for asking questions. He’s punctual, goal-oriented, and leads by example, which makes it easy to trust and learn from him. He genuinely cares about helping others succeed and always takes the time to adapt to each person’s needs.
During our volunteering experience together, I saw firsthand how kind, dependable, and approachable he is. Whether he was helping children learn something new or supporting the rest of the team, he always brought positive energy and professionalism. His leadership qualities stood out because he was always willing to step up, help others, and make sure everyone felt included.
I wholeheartedly recommend Adam as a tutor. He’s knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated to helping his students reach their full potential. Anyone learning with him will be in excellent hands.Adam who I’ve known for the better part of 9 years has always been someone who devotes much time and practice explaining concepts in a good way.
Adam is very helpful. He is so patient and very knowledgeable. I really recommend him!
I had the opportunity to cross paths with Adam over 5 years ago. I learned to know him as a hard working, intelligent and punctual professional. Adam takes his work very seriously and doesn’t settle for “okey”. He strives to achieve the best in his work life, which also extends to other aspects of who he is. Adam has an excellent skill in breaking down complex concepts into smaller understandable units. Teaching comes natural to him for all ages. I recommended Adam as a teacher and as a professional.
