About John
I am a computer science student and am going on to do a degree in Computer Science at Royal Holloway. I am also an experienced programmer and first started about 5 years ago. I am familiar with most web design technologies, extensive JavaScript and Node.js knowledge and some other server technologies. I also know Java and Visual Basic.
I have been tutoring for 2 years now and I have had many students in the past, I work for a company called Explore Learning and do private tutoring on the side.

I believe in mixing practical and theory tasks instead of teaching them separately, because I believe the two are learnt better together as you can do something and then learn why what you just did works. I believe in doing to learn, therefore I believe the best way to learn how to code is to do code so I structure my lessons around that.

It was a pleasure to teach John for the Computer Science A level course. He has a natural ability for the subject and an enthusiasm to develop his skills. He took part in extra curricular groups to learn advanced JavaScript for graphics and games. He is calm, collected and good at articulating concepts and ideas.
John was a student at the Sixth Form College Farnborough from September 2018 to July 2020. He studied A levels in Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science and a a BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Music Performance.
Honestly he inspired me so much and has shown me that I could really do it! Definitely recommend, this guy knows his stuff
John was super helpful when he taught me maths and computer science. He took it at my pace (which honestly was quite slow), but he never got frustrated and now I completely understand the stuff he taught me. Thank you so much!!!
