About Mihai

I have achieved the honor of being an Olympic bronze medalist in informatics at the national level in Romania. After completing my computer science studies in Cluj, I have been working as a Java developer for the past two years. In addition to my professional work, I stay connected to the programming community by mentoring high school and middle school students for competitive coding contests and Olympiads.

About the lesson

For the past 2 years, I have been teaching high school students algorithmic programming in C++ specifically for competitions and Olympiads. The curriculum I cover includes a wide range of topics to provide a comprehensive understanding of algorithmic problem-solving.

Bit Operations: Mastering bitwise operations and their applications in solving algorithmic problems.

Arrays and Vectors: Understanding the manipulation and traversal of arrays and vectors for efficient data storage and retrieval.

Matrices: Exploring operations and algorithms involving matrices, such as matrix multiplication and matrix transformations.

String Manipulation: Learning various string manipulation techniques, including string concatenation, substring extraction, and pattern matching.

Data Structures: Introducing fundamental data structures like stacks, queues, linked lists, trees, and graphs, and understanding their properties and operations.

Search Algorithms: Implementing different search algorithms, such as linear search, binary search, and depth-first search (DFS) for efficient data retrieval.

Sorting Algorithms: Studying popular sorting algorithms like bubble sort, insertion sort, merge sort, and quicksort to organize data in ascending or descending order.

Backtracking: Understanding the backtracking technique and its applications in solving problems with a large search space.
