About Charlie
I started tutoring because I genuinely enjoy helping others learn and find it a great way to reinforce my own understanding. While in sixth form, I supported GCSE students as a student ambassador and regularly helped classmates—experiences that showed me how effective peer-to-peer learning can be. As a tutor, I take a patient and structured approach, always aiming to build confidence through clarity and consistent progress. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps and guiding students through practice so they feel well-prepared for their exams. As a tutor, I focus on learning through the application of knowledge. By using active problem-solving, we’ll work through questions together to build understanding and confidence. Sessions are tailored to the student, with a strong focus on exam-specific techniques to help achieve the best possible results. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, but I’m happy to offer shorter or longer sessions depending on your preference. Each session includes a quick recap, a focused topic discussion, and practice questions, with time at the end for Q&A or homework support. I’m currently in my first year studying Computer Science at the University of Sheffield. At A-level, I achieved AAA* in Further Maths, Maths, and Computer Science, and an A in Psychology. I tutor GCSE and A-Level students in the following subjects: - Computer Science - Maths - Further Maths
