About Jake

I can offer both TouchDesigner Tuition and can also work on your TD project and show you how it works and how to install it for you to use with your course. TouchDesigner is great for Data Analysis, Data Visualisation, Data Handling, Kinect, Intel RealSense, Lidar, Networking, Real-Time Graphics, Data Operators, Surface Operators, Texture Operators, Channel Operators. I try to use multiple learning methods in my lessons, to give the student a chance to understand what is going on in the project and how TouchDesigner works. I can help you get started with TouchDesigner as a complete beginner, check your projects or help optimise and turn an existing project into its final form, ready for production and demos. TouchDesigner is a fantastic tool for artists and data analysts powered with Vulkan and Python.

About the lesson

• For each student I will create a personalised lesson plan based on their current level and what their goals are with their TouchDesigner training and what requirements are needed to be able to complete the project at hand. This lesson plan will be discussed with the student before starting. It will include how to start a project, how to identify and solve the problems at hand, which protocols are needed to communicate with other devices and the research process necessary to choose which input and output devices are best for their project and how to use what they have at hand. Each lesson will be done with Zoom or Skype where I will share my screen as I build the project with the student live. Some students like to record the lessons, others will build the same project the same time I do, either way the student will get the project files at the end of each lesson. At the end of the tuition the student will be able to completely recreate the project from scratch, use the technique they’ve learnt for other projects and have a professionally finished project to refer to or to use in any part of their course. • 90 minute lessons I find are a good time frame for individual lessons. • Bachelor in Computer Science and Masters in Visual Communications. 5 years of TouchDesigner research and development. • All levels. All projects.
