About Siena
I discovered programming as a way to solve problems and turn ideas into functional solutions. Over eight years of teaching, I have guided students from foundational understanding to confident, independent coders, emphasizing both technical skill and critical thinking. Witnessing their growth is immensely rewarding. I focus on personalized guidance, adaptability, and practical engagement. Programming is a tool for structured problem-solving and creative expression. In my lessons, students begin with the fundamentals, including variables, loops, functions, and conditional statements, emphasizing understanding rather than rote memorization. I foster an interactive environment where learners experiment, debug, and iterate on their code, seeing errors as opportunities for reflection and growth. Lessons are designed to develop both technical skills and logical reasoning simultaneously.
As students progress, they engage in projects such as developing small applications, automated scripts, and algorithmic challenges. Emphasis is placed on writing clean code, testing solutions, and optimizing algorithms. Guided exercises bridge theory and practice, allowing students to apply their knowledge creatively and independently while reinforcing analytical thinking and resilience.
