About Devika
My interest in programming began when I first learned how software applications are built using simple logical instructions. This curiosity motivated me to study Computer Science at university, where I completed a Bachelor’s degree in the field. During my academic studies, I became especially interested in understanding how programming languages translate ideas into working software systems.
For the past 6 years, I have taught programming to students who are new to coding as well as those who want to improve their technical skills. Many learners initially find programming difficult because the concepts are unfamiliar. My teaching approach focuses on breaking complex ideas into simple steps so students can gradually build their understanding. I encourage questions and experimentation because mistakes are an important part of learning how code works.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring new programming tools and learning about modern software development techniques. Keeping up with new technologies allows me to bring relevant examples into my lessons. Teaching programming allows me to share my enthusiasm for technology while helping students build valuable skills for the future.

Programming becomes easier when students understand how simple instructions combine to create useful software. In my lessons, I guide learners through the fundamental ideas that allow computers to process information and perform tasks. We begin with the basic concepts of variables, data types, conditions, and loops. These ideas form the foundation for writing structured programs. By learning how each instruction works, students develop confidence in creating and understanding code rather than memorizing patterns.
As lessons continue, students explore programming languages such as Python or Java depending on their learning goals. I explain each concept clearly before guiding students through practice exercises that help them apply what they learn. Topics may include functions, basic algorithms, debugging methods, and structured program design. I encourage learners to experiment with code and observe how small changes affect the results. This practical approach helps students understand programming logic more deeply.
Over time, students develop stronger analytical thinking and greater confidence in solving technical problems. Writing programs encourages patience, careful reasoning, and creative thinking. My goal is to help learners feel comfortable working with programming tools while building the skills needed for further study in technology. With clear explanation and consistent practice, students discover that programming is both a practical skill and an interesting intellectual challenge.
