About Agnes
Teaching flute has been my passion for the past 9 years, during which I have taught High School, College, and adult students, totalling around 150-200 learners. I believe that learning an instrument is about more than technique—it’s about expression, confidence, and creativity. My lessons are designed to motivate students, build skill, and make learning enjoyable.
A significant milestone in my teaching journey was preparing a student for a community recital, watching them overcome stage fright, and perform with pride.
I focus on understanding each student’s strengths and challenges, creating lessons that are personalised, practical, and inspiring. Beyond teaching notes and techniques, I help students connect emotionally with music, develop self-confidence, and cultivate a lifelong love for the flute.

I follow a student-centred methodology for teaching flute that combines practical skill, creativity, and understanding. I use real-life examples and case studies to make lessons relatable and easy to apply. Motivation is a key focus, encouraging students to stay confident, curious, and passionate about their musical journey.
Problem-solving is integral to my teaching. I help students navigate challenges in technique, rhythm, and expression, fostering independence and skill development. Integrity is central to my approach, promoting discipline, honesty, and respect. My lessons are flexible, customised to each student’s pace, abilities, and goals.
In addition to flute, I teach music theory and fundamentals to ensure a complete understanding. This methodology creates a learning experience that is productive, enjoyable, and tailored to each student’s needs.
