About Phoebe

Hi! My name is Phoebe and I've been a competitive dancer for around 12 years, structuring most of my training based on contemporary and jazz funk. My favorite style to watch is ballet and contemporary and my favorite style to dance is lyrical and innovative contemporary.

About the lesson

These lessons are meant to be adaptive towards the learner depending on what genres or difficulty levels they'd prefer. I've been a competitive dancer for 12, almost 13 years, and have trained in the styles of contemporary (various forms), jazz, ballet (on flat and on pointe), acro (contortion, as well), jazz funk (and funk fusion) , hip hop, musical theater, modern, and lyrical. These classes are more directed towards people the ages of 13-20 who are interested in any of the above styles of dance, or if they'd like to take a choreography or improv workshop. If the learner is looking for more of a structured class, I would start with basic warmups including a stretch and improv, followed by learning choreography based on the style(s) they're interested in.

Perfect! Phoebe has been a great dance teacher so far. She get's straight into the lesson without wasting much time and focuses on my individual needs. She is very kind and encouraging but will make sure you're executing every move correctly before proceeding- very observant!
