About Jessie
Hi! I’m a Commerce student at the University of Alberta with a 3.6 GPA and over four years of study in accounting, along with strong skills in math, business, and languages. I really enjoy helping students understand difficult topics in a simple and stress-free way, and seeing them become more confident over time.
I’m patient, supportive, and easy to talk to, and I always adjust my teaching style to match how each student learns best. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where you can ask questions freely, improve at your own pace, and actually feel good about what you’re learning.

I help students improve quickly by breaking down complex topics in accounting, math, and business into simple, step-by-step explanations. My lessons are structured, goal-oriented, and adapted to each student’s pace so they can build confidence and see real progress.
Each session includes clear teaching, guided practice, and focused review of weak areas to ensure real understanding, not memorization. I also support learning with structured practice questions and exam-style exercises to help students apply concepts and prepare effectively for tests and assignments. For Chinese and Cantonese, I focus on practical speaking, pronunciation, and real-life usage.
What sets me apart is my strong Commerce background (3.6 GPA, 4+ years accounting study) combined with experience as a student program coordinator, which trained me to explain concepts clearly and patiently in a supportive environment. I also have practical experience as a small business owner and a former student company president.
I teach elementary, high school, and early university (year 1–2) students in accounting, math, business fundamentals, and languages, with a focus on improving results efficiently and confidently.
