About Emma
I graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Neuroscience and Behavior and am currently applying to medical school. Throughout college, I gained extensive experience in academic and scientific writing, including writing my senior thesis and literature reviews. I also served as Head Generative Editor for Grey Matters, a neuroscience journal focused on making complex scientific topics accessible to a general audience. I enjoy helping students strengthen their writing while developing their own voice and confidence.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual goals, whether they need help brainstorming, organizing an essay, developing a thesis, revising a draft, or proofreading a final paper. Rather than simply editing a student’s work, I explain the reasoning behind my feedback so they can become stronger, more independent writers. I can help middle school, high school, and college students with essays, research papers, literary analysis, academic writing, and general English coursework.
