About Eli
I have been playing trumpet for close to a decade now. Through music, I have found a passion for teaching, which has led me to Ball State University, where I am now studying to be a music teacher. I've had lots of experience with auditions, solo and ensemble music, and overall college music life and I am happy to share that knowledge with other people.

As brass players, our first and most important goal is sound quality. Once a good sense of tone is estblished, many other qualities of playing will quickly follow. Practicing is less about training to an extent, and more about establishing the correct habits and reinforcing them through diligent repitition.
That being said, the instrument is not an ends within itself for learning music. Instead, it is the means by which we come to enjoy playing, listening, and making music. My approach will involve a combination of technical and musical help.
