About Alexandria

Hi! I’m Alexandria, a college student who has always found joy in expressing ideas, telling stories, and speaking in front of people. I am currently taking Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Studies, a field that allows me to continue exploring my interests in communication, society, history, and current issues.

I consider myself a curious, hardworking, and expressive person. I enjoy conversations that allow me to learn something new, and I believe that everyone has something worth saying. This is one of the reasons why public speaking became something I genuinely enjoy. For me, speaking is not simply about being heard. It is about having the confidence to communicate your thoughts and connect with other people.

Throughout my student journey, I have participated in public speaking, journalism, radio broadcasting, and writing competitions. I have experienced both winning and losing, standing in front of audiences, preparing under pressure, and learning from every opportunity. These experiences helped me become more confident, but they also taught me patience, discipline, and the importance of continuous practice.

As a tutor, I want to bring that same mindset to my students. I don't expect anyone to become a confident speaker immediately. I understand that everyone starts differently. Some students are naturally confident, while others may feel nervous, shy, or unsure of themselves. I want to create a space where students can practice, make mistakes, ask questions, and gradually become comfortable expressing themselves.

I am not here to simply teach you how to speak. I want to help you discover that your ideas matter and that you have a voice worth developing.

If you are willing to learn and practice, I will be here to guide you every step of the way.

About the lesson

Public speaking is more than standing in front of people and delivering a speech. It is about having the confidence to express your thoughts, connect with an audience, and make your message understood. If you are someone who gets nervous when speaking in front of others, struggles to organize your ideas, or wants to become a more confident speaker, I can help you develop those skills.

I have spent years developing my own skills in public speaking, journalism, radio broadcasting, and speech writing. I have participated in and received recognition in different school, district, division, and regional competitions. I have also competed in oratorical speech, including earning championship recognition, and have experience in radio broadcasting as an anchor and news presenter. These experiences taught me that effective speaking is not simply about having a good voice. It requires preparation, clear organization, proper delivery, confidence, and the ability to communicate with an audience.

What I can offer is not just a lesson where you memorize a speech and repeat it. I want to help you understand how to deliver your ideas naturally. We can work on your voice projection, pronunciation, pacing, gestures, eye contact, confidence, and overall delivery. If you are preparing for a speech, reporting, presentation, or competition, I can also help you organize your ideas and make your delivery more effective.

Most importantly, I understand what it feels like to be a student who is still learning. I am also a student, which means I understand the pressure of school presentations, competitions, deadlines, and the nervousness that comes with speaking in front of classmates, teachers, and judges. I want my lessons to be comfortable, practical, and encouraging, so you can improve without feeling embarrassed about making mistakes.

You do not need to become a perfect speaker overnight. Public speaking is a skill that develops through practice, feedback, and confidence. If you are willing to learn and practice, I am willing to guide you.
