About Gillian
Hello everyone!
I'm a recent high school graduate. I graduated at the top of my class as an avid AP student. I'm now attending college as a Communications major with a minor in Writing.
My experience in high school, AP, college classes, and previous tutoring positions allows me to approach writing from both the student's perspective and the instructor's. I love writing and I know I can help to improve your proficiency in the subject!

As a tutor, I'm able to help in:
- planning and structuring essays and papers
- ACT prep for the English, Reading, and Writing sections
- prepping students for the MCQ and timed writes for both the AP Lang and AP Lit Exams
- providing final editing of papers
- explaining and executing a variety of required formats such as MLA and APA.
My lesson plans are very flexible depending on what each student needs. Lessons include:
- brainstorming and fine-tuning topic ideas
- creating templates to structure and plan out essays
- reviewing grammar and spelling
- timing MCQ and FRQ questions in preparation for the AP Exam
- providing final editing/feedback on completed essays
