About Shandora
I am a dancer, college student, artist, and tutor. I've been giving lessons since I was about 9 years old started off with helping kindergarteners - 1st grade and as I got older I started tutoring my sister, her friends and some of the kids around the neighborhood. Some of the results that the kids have received are along the lines of A+, A, A-, and B+. I have experience/ knowledge in things along the art aspect, like Dancing, drawing, illustrator skills/photoshop skills, essay writing skills, and I am open-minded in trying to help the kids I tutor succeed in life. I started tutoring because of my love of children, I've always dreamed of one day having my own family and being able to help them grow/learn and succeed in their studies.

To start off: I love learning from my students as I'm teaching them :)
I am a Nursing Major, who loves tutoring younger students no matter what race, age group, or gender and I am very open-minded. My goal is to make sure my students feel at ease when receiving help from me and get an easier method of understanding their work. My teaching method is more of bringing in creative, fun ways to learn a subject I feel this may help students, especially those who get bored quickly in school to pay attention a lot easier to provide a better learning experience. My characteristics, personally, I learn things Kinesthetically and visual which means my style of learning has to be something I can see whether using pictures, charts, 3-D models anything that I have a visual representation of it helps. Kinesthetically meaning I have to be able to do physical activities instead of lectures or watching demonstrations which means I'm more of a Hand-on person it's just easier for me.

Shandora is a dedicated tutor and Teaching Assistant. I have known her for three semesters in my capacity as a professor of English. She has always been interested in helping others. When one of her cohort was having trouble breaking down a point during an in-class discussion and she patiently explained to them the steps, detail by detail.

My cancellation policy has to be notified an hour before our scheduled lesson.
For students, at different levels:
PreK-2nd grade: $10/hr
3rd-5th grade: $13/hr
6th-8th grade: $14/hr
9th-12th grade: (personally discussed since its a higher grade)
