About Jamie
I grew up with football having had relatives playing the game professionally before me. Upon realisation that I was not going to be a superstar, I turned to coaching at the tender age of 17, which has allowed me to build a wealth of experience now. Whilst studying Sport Coaching at University I continued to play some semi-professional football but most of my active time in football as an adult has come as a youth football coach. I have been fortunate to learn from coaches working with the England FA, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd, Southampton, Chelsea, Bournemouth and others during my time developing as a coach. I have held the UEFA B Licence and FA Youth Awards since my mid-20s and have run an independent football academy since 2021.

Firstly, I coach football by concept, allowing players to have the tools and an understanding of them to be able to problem solve and make decisions for themselves in any situation on the pitch. In doing so, I instil confidence in the player to feel empowered within their own game and deliver their best version of performance every time they enter the pitch. This will continue to grow with time. The individual needs of the player are my focus. Not only in relation to their technical, tactical, physical or psychological needs but also in reflection of the goals they are trying to achieve.
