About Nicole
My current employers are American Intercontinental University - Dunwoody campus where I am on staff as an adjunct faculty member in the criminal justice department and Creative Consulting Services where I am employed as a Support Coordinator and Clinical Therapeutic Life Coach. I currently possess a Bachelor’s Degree in POLITICAL SCIENCE and SOCIOLOGY, and a Masters Degree in PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION with an emphasis on JUSTICE ADMINISTRATION. I completed my Masters in PSYCHOLOGY with an emphasis on CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH in December 2003. I successfully completed the NATIONAL COUNSELOR EXAMINATION and obtained licensure as a LICENSED ASSOCIATE PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR (LAPC). I also have over TWENTY years of experience working directly with the special needs population including – MENTAL HEALTH – AUTISM - and INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES focusing on ANGER MANAGEMENT – EATING DISORDERS - PARENTING - GERONTOLOGICAL AND LGBT SENSITIVITY TRAINING – and MORE in a variety of settings, including educational settings to CHILDREN, TEENS, and ADULTS. Lastly, I also specialize in TEACHING LIFE COACHING SKILLS TECHNIQUES TO THOSE WHO WANT TO BECOME LIFE COACHES. My students can expect to have a clear understanding of the topic of their interest and be able to teach others what they have learned or use for personal and professional development. Previous students have commented that the class was easy to understand, there was immediate feedback from the instructor when they had questions, and they were able to apply the information learned to their personal and professional lives.

My focus is on the overall health of the people I serve and teaching this to my students. Supporting people to establish a link to primary health care, emotional care and health promotion activities are the areas of focus of my classes. As a teacher I make every effort to assist those that I teach in reducing high risk behaviors and health risk factors such as smoking, poor illness self-management, inadequate nutrition, emotional challenges and infrequent exercise or for those students who wish to learn Life Coaching Skills the ability to identify and provide guidance in these areas. My wellness and coaching principles are to assist the recipient in making behavioral changes leading to positive lifestyle improvement. My overall goal is to help people to achieve a wellness or health goal by offering guidance, support and encouragement and asking questions to see what they feel would be most helpful and beneficial to them. I have numerous years of supporting individuals with special needs in the community and in more formal settings. I have also experienced teaching in the classroom. I have taught pre-school, undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology, political science, ethics courses, ect. I taught each of those classes online as well as traditionally.
