About Alex
Music and teaching have been my passion for the last 10 years and in that time I have studied and learnt as much about both of these subjects as possible.
Through this I have performed all over the UK on both bass and guitar at festivals and in recording studios. These performances have covered a range of styles including: jazz, pop, rock/metal, RnB and classical music.
Furthermore, I have taught privately and in both primary and secondary schools for a number of years now where I have always worked as hard as I possibly can to ensure that my pupils are always learning and developing as musicians while also having positive experiences with music.

I teach hour long lessons utilising a flexible style of teaching which I developed while studying my degree in popular music performance at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance and my PGCE in Music at the UCL Institute of Education. This means that I am able to provide relevant bespoke advice that always helps you move towards your musical goals.
My lessons are for learners of all ages and all abilities.

Alex is a brilliant teacher who helped me out with music theory, which used to be a huge struggle for me. He adapts very well to individuals needs and teaching styles so he was the first teacher who was able to explain music theory to me in a way that made sense! Also did a good job making me feel comfortable and building my confidence.
