About Phillipa
I have recently graduated from the University of Exeter with a first in Classics and am looking to help others succeed in their studies of the Ancient World. Whilst at university I taught Latin at a local school for 2 years and helped my students achieve A/A* at GCSE Level. Having had a much experience studying and teaching Classics, I hope I am able to help many others with their studies and achieve great results.

In my lessons, I always strive to make sure my students have an enjoyable time whilst learning. I believe it is important not to concentrate solely on grammar and vocabulary but to encourage the acquisition of these by translating ancient texts and learning about the historical context in which they were written. However, I am aware that, with respect to exams, the grammar and vocab are essential and so where necessary due care will be given to ensure these are fully understood.
