About Scott
I have been making yearly trips to India to study tabla and classical Indian music with my Gurus since 2007. I have mostly learned in Varanasi (Benaras Gharana) and I am extremely passionate about teaching what I know and sharing the magic of this incredible instrument and music.

One of the most beautiful parts of learning classical Indian music, especially Tabla, is that the teaching is very direct and simple even though the subject is infinitely deep and complex. The tabla has a complete verbal language that represents every single stroke and rhythm that can be made. Through repetition of simple strokes with the exercises that will be provided, the student may begin to both set their hand properly and explore the world of endless rhythms that lie ahead. It is a magical journey and I would love to guide you on yours.
