About Laila

I am a classically trained pianist and an award-winning composer and sound creator currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music. I have composed for world-renowned ensembles, and taught music privately and at various outreach projects around the UK. I have experience teaching piano, theory and composition to all ages and levels, and would love to share my knowledge with you! I enjoy teaching, having written a book of 30+ piano pieces for beginner/ intermediate players, and I offer a range of resources such as audios, videos, scores, and customised study materials for free!

About the lesson

Piano/Theory: I have successfully guided students through the ABRSM (Piano and Theory), ensuring a 100% pass rate. I teach students of all ages, spanning beginners and casual players to those pursuing the ARSM level. Each student's level is taken into consideration when designing my lessons, ensuring a customised approach. Whether you are a beginner or someone who wishes to reignite their passion for piano, I adapt the lessons accordingly! My goal is to instil a genuine love for the instrument in my students. I support students in building a solid base in musicianship and technique, fostering their love for classical music. With patience and encouragement, my aim is to create a supportive learning environment where students can progress at their own pace and cultivate a lifelong passion for playing the piano. Composition: I aim to help you enhance your musical abilities to effectively convey your unique creative instincts, and I strive to create captivating composition lessons, providing you with a comprehensive and well-rounded understanding of music. Lessons can include writing songs, pieces, arranging and orchestration or analysing compositions and repertoire that interest you!
