About Marcela
Marcela is classically trained violinist, born in Czech Republic where she graduated from Conservatorium of Music. After her graduation, Marcela taught violin and music for a couple of years and then she joined a band Country Sisters as a professional player and played a few years all around Europe, Asia at all the biggest music festivals and venues. After a tour in Australia in 1999, Marcela decided to quit and start a new life in Melbourne. Over the last 20 years Marcela played with many different bands from Country Rock, Gypsy, Blues, Jazz and original music projects, performing across Australia's states at festivals as well as private functions, weddings etc. Her energetic and passionate performance got her award in Tamworth as a Best Fiddle soloist in Australia.
Marcela is also a composer and released her own instrumental CD's and received many awards such as 1st,2nd,3rd places at Australian Songwriting contest in Sydney or 2nd place at International Songwriting contest in Nashville.
Teaching experience- over 17 years in Australia. In present Marcela plays with her band around Melbourne, and performs solo at private functions and at nursing homes.
In her lessons Marcela also plays and teaches other instruments-viola, piano and acoustic guitar.
Marcela is honored to pass her knowledge, passion and skills on others.

I teach Suzuki method, AMEB exams with great results, theory, aural and sight reading, improvisation and versatile styles of music and I make sure the lessons are interesting, enjoyable and pay attention to good technique and posture which is essential in violin playing.
