About Philip
Philip is a classically trained Pianist with over 20 years musical experience.
He has achieved Honours or above in all RCM Grades and also holds an Associate Diploma in Piano Teaching from the Royal Irish Academy of Music. This is equivalent to an ARCT Teaching Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada.
Philip loves both Classical music and Modern music. He is comfortable teaching Mozart or Hans Zimmer, Beethoven or John Williams - Music from Indiana Jones, Frozen, Interstellar or a Classical piece from Chopin.
Philip is really friendly and personable, a great communicator and teaches with passion and enthusiasm to ensure the best outcomes for his students. He would love to translate his own passion for music to success for all his students, no matter what age or level they have.

Learning Piano with Philip will give you all the skills you need to succeed in your learning goals by:
- Setting up the structure of lessons from Day 1: Learning what your goals are (RCM Grades, modern songs, sight reading) and setting achievable targets
- Keeping lessons engaging, challenging and fun. Whatever type of music you love, we can build that into lessons.
- Focusing on the fundamentals: Music theory, timing, listening and especially reading music is essential to life-long piano success. If this is your goal, we can focus on this from Day 1 to give you the tools you need to play anything you want on piano.
Philip can teach for RCM Grades, Performance Music, modern songs, film scores and sight-reading.
Teaching can be online or in-person (Downtown/Midtown Toronto) and times can range from 30mins to 1hr.
