About Josh
Hi there! My name is Josh and I am a graduate of the UGA School of Music. I have been playing guitar for over 17 years and I have 5+ years of teaching experience. I enjoy playing many different styles including blues, folk, rock, indie, jazz, classical, and more. One thing I love about teaching students is that I have the opportunity to explain the guitar in ways that I wish it had been explained to me during my early years of playing. I love witnessing the growth and success of my students and I hope to always be a help to others who want to learn.

My teaching method is tailored to each student and their goals. Regardless of your current skill level, lessons with me involve a deep dive of the fretboard. Along with songs and repertoire, you will learn music theory, technique, scales, chords, various musical styles, musicality, and much more. My lessons are for beginner to intermediate guitarists looking to advance their skills. Ultimately, my goal is to help you become a competent guitarist who can play music and learn on their own. I look forward to helping you advance as a guitarist.
