About Shannon
I have been teaching for over 15 years, and have been playing for much longer. I completed the RCCM level 8 Practical and level 2 Theory, but have also felt the most compelled by composition. By the time I was 17, I had composed over 80 musical pieces. My favorite pieces to play are classical, musical theatre pieces, and pop. Education has been a staple of my career, including environmental education. In my spare time, I can be found walking, hiking, reading, writing, and dancing. Hope to connect with you soon!

Hi there! I have been teaching for over 15 years, and have 5 years of teaching virtually. Lessons are half-hour private lessons. My lessons combine classical, theory, technique, and special interest pieces into one. I specialize in beginner and intermediate levels of piano, and approach my lessons with patience, encouragement, and humor. My goal is to not only help students excel at piano, but also to support their confidence and self-esteem. I have experience teaching neurodivergent students, and students of all ages.
