About Ella
Hi, I'm Ella! I want to teach English because I believe it is possible for every student to truly love (and not just survive) HSC English. I try to help students have trust in their own interpretations, and engage with texts in ways that makes sense to them. Together we will break down texts and create targeted routines (tried and tested in my own HSC year) that achieve full marks on essays.
Studying multiple texts and writing many essays in one sitting can be overwhelming, I will equip you with the tools and confidence to make it easy!

I focus on establishing routines that strive to get you A-grade marks every time. I teach careful quote selection and thorough theme analysis (NOT essay memorisation) that will have you feeling confident when you walk in the exam hall!
My speciality is in essay preparation and lessons are typically an hour long. I have informal tutoring experience to friends and family, and have completed HSC Advanced English myself in 2022 with Band 6 results. I am currently in university with Distinction-average grades.
