About Lexie
I have played clarinet for 5 years and bass clarinet for 9 months. I started on saxophone and didn't really enjoy it so I moved to clarinet. I enjoy learning new music in all categories, my favorite is jazz. The clarinet is such a beautiful instrument and really has this beautiful sound to it that I feel everyone should be able to experience and create. The clarinet is such a diverse instrument, and I enjoy getting to play that instrument and make those sounds. I feel like by working with you, or your child, I can really help bring that sound to light.

I typically will have them work on breathing exercises to really build up the fundamentals of what will help them progress on their instruments. A typical lesson will start with a warm-up, and then progress more into the breathing and playing of the instrument. One thing that I like to do that not a lot of others do, even though I am fairly new to this is I like to really dive deep into the instrument and what we are really struggling with, to really build from there. My lessons are mostly for elementary(2nd) through 8th clarinet or bass clarinet players.

As a person that works alongside her daily, it is obvious to me that Lexie cares deeply about music and the success of each of her students based on the constant friendliness and readiness to help that she displays.
