I am a civil engineer, I have completed my bachelor and masters degrees in Cairo, Egypt. I used to give Arabic classes in Egypt for those who cannot read or write, or for others who want to learn literary Arabic for purposes of Academic writing or reading Quran.

My methodology in teaching Arabic depends on the purpose of learning, in other words, what do you need the language for: Academic writing, just speaking, improving your skills, or whatever the purpose. For the beginners I prefer starting with the alphabetic: writing, listening, and speaking, then combine these letters to get some words (the most used words), then how to write a well-structured sentence along with listening to Arabic conversations.
