About Tara-Leigh

I am the current Head Chef of a baking school where I train 6-12 students monthly in aspects pertaining to cake,cupcakes and decorating thereof including trending themes...simple,intermediate and advanced biscuits...basic and advanced dough products and sweet,choux and Puff pastry items.
I've obtained an Assessor certification.
I've obtained a City and Guilds Patisserie Diploma.
I have gained experience in Sales, Production, Management, Training, Evaluating and Teaching since obtaining my qualification.

About the lesson

I am known by my students as " Chef T" :)
I started in this industry as a novice Home Baker then was recognized by a Baking School in my area for my efforts and became a teaching Chef there...I worked my way up to Head Chef of the Baking School as well as became Head of Department for the secondary division pertaining to production. This career has given me the hope to always do and be more, I've definitely gained confidence and grown so much personally and in my role as a Pastry Chef. My students give me the platform to be myself, be friendly, goofy as well as the discipline to conduct lessons that give them these characteristics too once they graduate a course through me.
My methodology is simple, keep the "notes" at a basic level and the practicality at the highest level! I have a all round approach to teaching others as we all learn in different ways and at different places. I am hands on, provide individual attention and can engage learner's by providing a "master class" lesson (bake with my students).
I have worked with training students from the ages 18-35 but I'm not limited to this age group only , I can teach a younger or older age group too...I just love to teach in general! :)
