About Xiaoji
Hello! This is Song from China. My current English level is C2 (8.5 in IELTS)
I am a writer, interpreter, and researcher and I have been living in Germany and the Netherlands for 7 years.
I am currently based in Amsterdam. I am here for two things: First, I would like to help you to get better English speaking skills including but not limited to daily communication, professional communication and public speaking with my 7 years of study and work experiences fully in English. Secondly, I can also offer you tips and support to better navigate yourself in a new environment and new culture with both my own experiences and theories I learned in my sociology degree and additional courses I took in the Netherlands in cultural psychology.
With my experiences in organizing international theater group as co-producer and tutoring students from diverse backgrounds in a continuing education department in a Chinese college, I have many experiences in helping people from all kinds of nationalities, cultures and professional levels even though this is my first time to try out an online platform. As an English tutor, I am patient, well-prepared, and organized: I will not only make a long-term learning plan but also deliver notes and homework for your specific needs!

1. I believe that each student has their unique strength and weakness, therefore everyone needs attention to focus on their individual needs. As a tutor, I do not just let the students sit and learn: I actively learn from my students about their profile and objectives and deliver a learning plan tailored to their goals.
2. Two of my key strategies are about the activation of your existing vocabulary and grammar. I noticed that many students have a strong foundation already while having trouble applying their knowledge in their daily life.
