About Grigor

Hello, my name is Grigor, and I am a second-year student at the University of Queensland studying Bachelor of Computer Science / Master of Data Science.
I started tutoring chess in 2019 and have had more than 20 long-standing students since then. Also, I am a semi-professional chess player (FIDE rated) who regularly participates in championships around QLD. I especially love playing online chess on services like Lichess, where I currently maintain about 2050 rating in rapid. In 2020, I achieved 17-th place in the Australian Youth Chess Championship (under the 18 age group), proving my chess proficiency. All this experience allows me to tutor with the most efficiency compared to other tutors.
So whether it's you who wants to learn chess or your child who asks you to find a tutor for him - send me a request, and we will arrange our first lesson, which will be the start of your wonderful journey in the chess world.

About the lesson

My lessons will be ideal for beginners and intermediate players up to the FIDE rating of 1200. I have an extensive list of chess tasks for tactics and strategy. In addition, I have a large debut list that will help your child quickly develop his game. Finally, I have 10 years of experience participating in chess tournaments, which I am happy to share with you or your child.
