I offer structured chess lessons designed to help beginners and intermediate players improve quickly and consistently. Whether you’re learning the basics or looking to refine your strategy, my sessions focus on understanding why each move works — not just memorising openings. Each lesson is tailored to your level and goals. We’ll cover: Opening principles and common traps Tactical motifs and calculation exercises Strategic planning and positional play Endgame fundamentals Game analysis and feedback I’m a 1600-rated player in both rapid and blitz on Chess.com, with experience helping my peers improve through regular chess club sessions during 6th Form. My teaching style is calm, patient, and focused on practical improvement through guided examples and analysis. Lessons are available online or in person (Claygate area). The first session can be used to assess your level and set clear improvement goals.
