About Birati Chess

Hello! I am Kunal Saha, a FIDE Title Awardee, West Bengal State Chess Arbiter, and the founder and head coach of Birati Chess Academy. With years of competitive playing and professional coaching experience, I am deeply passionate about unlocking every student's strategic potential, building logical reasoning, and fostering a lifelong love for the game.

My teaching philosophy combines traditional classical chess principles with modern, tech-enabled training tools—including digital analysis, PGN database management, and rigorous tactical problem-solving. Whether a student is learning how the pieces move for the very first time or refining advanced tournament preparation, I tailor my approach to match each individual's pace and competitive goals.

Outside of coaching, I am actively involved in organizing international and national open tournaments, authoring instructional materials, and building structured pathways for young minds to excel on and off the chessboard.
