Perfect! He is an excellent tutor, works hard with his students (my grandsons) and guide them in a very systematic way. He analyses their games meticulously in advance and then during the sessions he points out their weaknesses and strengths. There is a visible improvement in their thinking and analysis of the game.

Before our first lesson he was very keen to find what kind of player I was and had asked I send him over some games that I had played recently. He then found a time that suited us both. I will state that all of his replies to e-mails are both timely and instructive.

We met up using Skype and while there were some early technical issues (which I put no fault on Vladimir as we were able to see and hear each other easily enough), we were able to make a good start. The lesson covered all 5 games that I had sent him and between us we analysed each game for tactics, general strategies (and the avoidance of a couple of embarrassing blunders!). As the early Skype technical issues had taken some time at the start of our lesson (approximately 8 minutes at most - throughout the hour’s lesson), Vladimir was insistent that we go over the hour period and complete all the games that I had sent him, this was approximately 1hour 35minues, which I felt was above-and-beyond service.

I would recommend Vladimir to anybody who has an interest in Chess and look forward to our next lesson together!
