Hi! I'm Swapan Kumar, and I’m truly excited to share the incredible world of chess with you. Chess has been a huge part of my life — not just as a game, but as a powerful tool for developing focus, discipline, creativity, and confidence. Over the years, I've had the privilege of teaching this beautiful game to students of all ages, and watching them grow — not just on the board, but in life — is the most rewarding part of my journey. I believe that every student has the potential to excel when given the right guidance, support, and inspiration. That’s why I’m here — to simplify the complexities of chess, make learning fun and interactive, and walk with you every step of the way on your path to mastery. Whether you're taking your very first step or aiming for tournament success, I bring not only experience and knowledge, but also patience, encouragement, and a genuine passion for teaching. I offer a complete and structured chess learning program, including: * Chess Fundamentals – rules, piece movement, check, checkmate, draw, stalemate, etc. * Tactical Training – forks, pins, skewers, discovered attacks, and traps * Strategic Concepts – openings, middlegame plans, endgame techniques * Time Management & Tournament Prep – clock handling, mindset, performance tracking * Game Analysis – review your games and learn from real positions Every student learns differently — and I adapt accordingly. My teaching style is: * Concept-based – not just “what to play”, but “why to play it” * Supportive & fun – I make learning enjoyable, motivating students to love the game.
