About Amy

I learned how to play chess 20 years ago, quickly grasping the concept and even defeating the teacher of the chess club on my first try. I’ve won several awards at a young age for my triumphs on the chess board.

Chess is a game all about strategizing and being able to think ahead while challenging yourself to guess your opponent's next moves. After getting down the basics and having some practice, your ability to defeat more difficult opponents will increase tremendously. Let me help you gain the skill and confidence you need to succeed!

About the lesson

Chess is a game that requires patience, and so does learning it (and teaching!). I am committed to adapting my teaching style to your learning style to best help you understand how to play and have fun!

I will start with a practice game to see where your knowledge is at. You will learn to strategize and feel confident in your logical abilities.
