About Thomas
I am an ACA Chartered Accountant with a first class degree in Accounting and Business. I have worked in industry and as an auditor in a Big Four Accounting firm over the last five years. I am goal focused, driven and highly personable.
I graduated from the University of Reading in 2019, with a first class degree in Accounting and Business, and was awarded the University’s ‘Outstanding Contribution to Accounting Programmes award’ upon graduation.
I am passionate at helping others and teaching, and I look forward to helping you meet your goals.

I have taught peers whilst in secondary school, sixth-form and university, with great feedback and success. I have achieved A+ grades in my chosen tutoring subjects.
My approach to taking on a new tutee would be to first understand where they need development or support, whether this be specifically a part of their syllabus or something more broad as their exam technique. I would then develop a plan with them, including setting goals to help achieve their development needs. Everybody learns differently and I aim to tailor my approach to each student to ensure the right style and pace is achieved in order to maximise engagement.
I look to simplify difficult material, encourage tutees to think outside the box and help them to effectively apply their understanding. I look to breakdown information/concepts and explain them in everyday language, as I believe by understanding the basics at their core, it will allow tutees to better understand, develop and apply this knowledge.
I will work with tutees and/or parents beforehand to discuss topics and areas of focus, and can do a mix of content teaching & revision and/or past paper questions. I can also provide a results-based and structured programme of tutoring, outlining a schedule of lessons that are oriented to your syllabus and goals.
I primarily use Microsoft Teams or Zoom, and share and receive materials via Google Drive.
