About Sophia
I hold a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance and have dedicated the past seven years to teaching singing to students of diverse ages and skill levels. My passion for music and vocal artistry drives me to help others discover and develop their unique voices. Through formal training and extensive teaching experience, I have cultivated a deep understanding of vocal techniques and performance skills that I bring to every lesson. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with beginners seeking to build foundational skills as well as advanced singers preparing for auditions, concerts, and recordings. I believe in tailoring my approach to fit each student’s individual goals and learning style, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment where they feel confident to explore and grow. My focus is not only on technical improvement but also on nurturing artistic expression and stage presence. My teaching philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and the importance of maintaining healthy vocal habits. I emphasize breath control, pitch accuracy, and vocal strength, guiding students through exercises that promote vocal longevity and expressiveness. My singing lessons are carefully designed to help students build a strong and healthy vocal foundation while exploring their unique musical style. Whether you are just starting out or looking to refine your existing skills, I tailor each lesson to meet your individual needs and goals. The sessions balance technical exercises with creative expression, making learning both effective and enjoyable.
A core focus of the lessons is vocal technique, where I guide students through exercises that improve pitch accuracy, tone quality, and vocal range. Developing proper breath control is another essential element, enabling singers to sustain notes longer and sing with greater power and control. These skills are key to maintaining vocal health and achieving consistent performance.
Performance skills are also a significant part of the curriculum. I work with students to build stage presence, confidence, and emotional connection to the music. Through mock performances and constructive feedback, singers learn how to engage their audience and express themselves authentically.
