About Eduardo
In my more than 35 years of teaching experience, I've found that there's no foolproof method, because every person is unique. I've been able to put into practice what I learned at university, and yes, it will always be a safe path, but if we don't focus on each person's individual characteristics, we miss an important part of the learning process. I've often been delighted to see how music flows to and from the student, and those moments are unique and very special when they arise spontaneously and unexpectedly. These are the moments when art begins to manifest itself through each student's unique expression, and for me, that's the essence of music education. I personally like it when students feel motivated, but I'm equally motivated when students study and prepare well for their lessons, because ultimately, the motivation is mutual and constantly reinforces each other. I also like to support students in their ongoing learning process, even outside of the classroom, so I usually allow them to maintain an open line of communication for any questions that arise during their daily practice at home.

I am a Chilean musician with degrees in Classical Guitar and Music Pedagogy. I am a Level 3 Key Teacher for the Yamaha Schools system in Latin America. I have extensive experience teaching at conservatories, private institutes, and providing private lessons. I offer private and personalized lessons for young people and adults (children 12 years and older) at the Community Library of the Villa Los Presidentes Cultural Center on Avenida Grecia, Ñuñoa. I am also available for online lessons.
These are the courses I offer:
INTRODUCTION TO CLASSICAL GUITAR This practical and didactic course progressively introduces students to the knowledge and practice of the main techniques for performing works in the classical guitar repertoire. Individual and personalized lessons. (The cost per hour of lessons is CLP $10,000)
POPULAR GUITAR I No prior experience or knowledge is required. This short course introduces students to guitar accompaniment in the context of popular music. Group classes, up to 4 participants. (Monthly fee $16,750)
MUSIC READING ON THE STAFF WITH GUITAR Note: Some prior experience with the instrument is required. This short practical and theoretical course introduces students to music reading in a structured and progressive way, using the guitar as a learning tool. Group classes, up to 4 participants. (Monthly fee $16,750)
