About Juliana
I've been teaching Portuguese for foreigners since 2004 when I was still living in my hometown, Rio de Janeiro. Teaching foreign language has always been my passion. I have a dual BA in Portuguese-Japanese language teaching and I have taught in Japan and India for many years. I love to interact with people from different countries and by doing that I learn so much which also enhances my language teaching skills. I am currently living in the US where I am attending grad school. I am looking forward to being teaching the beautiful sounds of Portuguese language to all of you!

Making my students comfortable and confident to use Portuguese is my main goal in class. I also love to introduce them to several aspects of Brazilian culture and other Portuguese speaking countries. My classes are interactive with videos, music and exercises that will enhance your Portuguese skills.
I am fluent in English, Japanese and Spanish and I know Hindi at intermediate level too, so I can understand the struggles of the students from different linguistic backgrounds and help them to overcome these obstacles.
