About Kian

I'm an experienced teacher, composer and performer. I've performed with all sorts of musical groups from orchestras, to funk, to Iranian folk music and even metal! I studied music composition and graduated with an honours degree from the ANU School of Music and am now enjoying a life of making, playing, and teaching music. Whether you want to go down the more structured path of doing exams or if you want to tailor your learning to a particular goal, feel free to ask me!

About the lesson

Keyboard and piano teacher based in Canberra! My name is Kian and I've been teaching piano since 2019. I'm an ANZCA registered teacher and can help you with your exam pieces, with live rigs if you're going to start performing with a digital keyboard rig, or just with casual learning! I've graduated with an honors degree in music from the ANU and have been performing here and there around Canberra. I'm hoping to help musicians like you avoid the frustration of not knowing what to do next or how to get to where they want to be, so if you have a clear goal in mind, I can help you make a lesson plan that'll work for you and keep you on track. One last thing, is that I'll do this for less than you'd have to pay at music schools. Not because I'm feeling generous or to lure you in with discounts, but simply because I don't have overhead costs and your money will not go towards paying admin fees. Win-win!

Details

A standard class would be 30 minutes, costing $48. I do not offer free lessons but I am open to negotiations about pay structures. Typically I collect payment for the term but I offer one-off payments for trial lessons or other special circumstances.

If you want me to travel to your place the travel cost will be calculated at $24/30 minutes.
