About Florence
Hello! My name is Florence Goodwin. I am a Certified Dyslexia Practitioner, licensed teacher, and literacy specialist holding a Master’s Degree in Communication. This advanced background allows me to deeply understand how the brain processes, articulates, and translates spoken language into print. I have 29 years of experience delivering structured literacy to upper elementary and middle school students. My goal is to replace reading anxiety with academic confidence in a predictable, supportive online environment.

I provide intensive, online reading intervention using the Wilson Reading System for students in 2nd through 8th grade. Traditional methods often fail neurodivergent learners. My online lessons break down the English language into predictable parts using explicit, multisensory strategies. We target: Decoding & phonemic awareness Encoding (spelling) rules to eliminate guessing Fluency & reading comprehension. Our first free session is an online consultation to review your child's current reading gaps, IEP accommodations, or clinical reports to map out a custom Wilson sequence.
