About Danielle
I’m a certified K–12 art teacher with an MFA in Studio Art (Sculpture) and experience teaching both high school and college-level students. I specialize in AP Art History and AP 3D Art & Design, supporting students with both academic content and portfolio development.
I bring a structured, organized approach to tutoring, with clear explanations, consistent feedback, and individualized support. Whether we’re working on visual analysis, written responses, or 3D portfolio work, I help students build confidence while meeting College Board expectations.
Students and families can expect professionalism, reliability, and thoughtful, targeted instruction. My background as both a teacher and practicing artist allows me to support both technical skill and strong conceptual thinking.
I primarily work with high school students, especially those enrolled in or preparing for AP-level courses, as well as motivated learners looking to strengthen their art history knowledge or 3D work.

I offer personalized support in AP Art History and AP 3D Art & Design for high school students preparing for rigorous coursework and portfolio submission. My teaching approach blends structured guidance with student-driven exploration—I break down complex content into clear, manageable steps while building critical thinking, visual analysis, and creative problem-solving skills.
A typical lesson is tailored to each student’s needs but often includes a mix of targeted instruction, guided practice, and feedback. In AP Art History, this might look like analyzing key works, practicing written responses, and connecting themes across cultures. In AP 3D, lessons focus on idea development, material exploration, documentation, and critique, supporting sustained investigation and portfolio cohesion.
What sets me apart is my background as both a certified K–12 art teacher and working artist (MFA)—I bring classroom-tested strategies, clear expectations, and a strong understanding of College Board standards, while also helping students develop work that feels personal and conceptually strong.
These lessons are ideal for AP students at any stage—whether you need help keeping up with coursework, strengthening writing and analysis, or refining a high-quality 3D portfolio for submission.
